Spaghetti Stories #1: The Day My Props Became Part of Chiara’s Look
There’s a secret about being a wedding photographer that people don't often talk about: we are much more than just "the guy with the camera." Sometimes we are coordinators, sometimes we are psychological support, and sometimes, as it happened with Chiara, we are the ones who provide the finishing touch.
More than just a Flat Lay
Every wedding starts with a ritual I love: the details. I arrive early, find the perfect light, and start arranging the dress, the shoes, and the rings. I always carry a secret weapon in my kit: a small selection of fresh flowers. I use them to add life to those "flat lay" shots, creating a composition that feels organic and vibrant.
An Unexpected Request
While I was busy finding the right angle for Chiara and Damiano’s wedding accessories, the hair stylist walked by. She stopped, looked at the small bouquet I had laid out on the table, and whispered: "Can I steal two of these? They would be perfect for her hair."
I didn't think twice. "They're yours," I said.
The Perfect Match
What happened next was one of those small miracles that only happen at weddings. Chiara had a very unique look: a stunning hairstyle with a bold personality. As the stylist tucked my flowers into her hair, we realized they weren't just "okay" they were a perfect tonal match.
For the rest of the day, as I captured Chiara laughing, dancing, and hugging her guests, I kept seeing those flowers in my viewfinder. It wasn't just a prop anymore; it was a piece of my work literally woven into her story.
Why I do what I do
This is why I named my brand Spaghetti Weddings. It’s about being "all in," just like a family dinner where everyone contributes something. Knowing that I added a tiny, personal touch to Chiara’s look fills me with more joy than any technical shot ever could.
